You know in movies, when the main character is incredibly late and they're running behind the bus/train/car/whatever to try to catch up?? Yeah, that's me and my life right now. And I'm way way behind...

Regionals:

-THE BEACH! (OOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh YEAH! hehehe...)

-totally hanging out with the coolest people on the planet

-walks on the beach at sunset... ::sniff sniff::

-watching our club rock out Regionals

-getting 2nd (that has to be on the list right?)

-debating with James, who's pretty cool

-being sad that some AMAZING people did not qualify

-aaaaaaaand the beach (yeah, I like it, ok?)

And Teenpact was pretty schway too. Especially since I got to staff the one-day little kid class at the last minute and totally had tons of fun doing it. And we got to teach the public speaking part and it was WAY awesome.

And now I'm trying to catch up on school. And research for Nationals. And get ready for my piano recital. And catch up in ballet.

I need help.

But God is sovereign and amazing, and I know it will all come together...somehow

I think I tend to try to satisfy myself in all of the wrong places. Even beauty is worthless, when you don't recognize it's beginning and author. And nothing that has been or ever will be, can ever be more wonderful that Jesus Christ.
He is all.

Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Highest praises, honor and glory
Be unto your name
Be unto your name

Be amazed

I went to the library Saturday, and now I have 10 unread books sitting at home (since we go out of town to the library, I get quite a few at a time), and it's been making me happy all day. I also read some outside today....

I saw a church sign the other day that said this, "the grass is green, the birds are back. God did it again." I thought it was awful. What possessed someone to characterize spring and God that way? It ruins the beauty that I find in each of them; or rather the beauty of God that is revealed in spring. Of course he "did it again" (terrible way to put it by the way...), why would we ever doubt that? Spring is just a physical form of the wonder and majesty and beauty of God that we, as human beings, are not able to see; and without fail, every spring, he awes me. But to put it like that.... it lessens the wonder somehow. Spring is a part of God; it's a part of the way he shows his love for us, to show us just a little bit of his loveliness. It's like he pulls back some of the curtain, and says, "look at this tiniest bit of me and be amazed" but he never pulls the curtain all the way. God "doing it again" is like it's something normal and absolutely un-amazing. But it is...

Never lose your wonder; people who do can never really just rejoice in being alive.

::sighs::

Hillary has been trying for the past two days, to get in the practice of doing school again, and not randomly researching to prepare for crazy tournaments in which she talks to debate nerds all day about...srebrenica (I'm pretty sure I didn't spell that right).....of all things

(Although they are extra-special-awesome-cool debate nerds, and I do happen to be one of them)

I can't believe how hot it is already....weird...

And I'm not trying to blind you guys, with my colors either, hehe

Well the NC tourney basically rocked ...except for a few, minor mishaps...like rather strange judges...but the good most definitely outweighed the bad.

Good/Awesome/Fun things:

-Kind of doing half a duo impromtu w/Vincent...very scary

-Singing the Sound of Music with Josh in the car (we decided it was time to change it from Beyonce, hahahaha....)

-Vincent and Chelsea's awesome semi-final LD round, and Vincent and Marcie's awesome final LD round. LD went much better than policy at this tournament, let me tell you.

-Judgiing  the Lders as they attempt *emphasis on attempt* policy. So very sad. Although, yes Vincent did have a great case

-Having like the best Neg round ever with Jessica and Val

-Debating Alex and David in octos; awesome round.

-The-coolest-team-in-the-universe (i.e. Paul and Ali) breaking

-Me and James continuing the insult war (and me winning, although with Lydia's help, I will freely admit)

-Our third round. I don't think I will ever think of that round w/o laughing...oh my.

That is so many good things. I don't think it's even worth it to list a few negative things
